Dr. Thitsar Nyunt
Dr. Thitsar Nyunt is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TriStar International, a venture-building company focused on advancing human-centered artificial intelligence, intelligent systems, and transformative technologies.
She holds a Ph.D. in Strategy, Ethics, and Entrepreneurship from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Her leadership philosophy is grounded in strategic discipline, ethical innovation, and long-term value creation—principles that guide TriStar's approach to building enduring companies rather than pursuing short-term opportunities.
Under her leadership, TriStar International launched EmoCare AI and Sanctuary, ventures founded on the belief that technology should strengthen human potential, deepen connection, and serve people with empathy, trust, and purpose. Her work brings together artificial intelligence, business strategy, and human-centered design to create solutions that are both technologically advanced and deeply meaningful.
Based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, Dr. Nyunt leads TriStar with a global perspective shaped by her Burmese heritage, contemplative values, and commitment to responsible innovation. Her vision is a future in which intelligence amplifies humanity rather than replaces it—where technology serves not only what people do, but who they are becoming, while preserving the dignity and humanity at the center of every experience.
